Location: Peterborough, PE7
Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour
Working Hours: 07:00 - 15:00, Monday to Friday
Job Type: Temporary / Agency Work

Interaction Recruitment is currently recruiting for a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join a busy workplace catering operation based in Peterborough (PE7).

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous catering or hospitality experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and providing excellent customer service.

The catering facility serves approximately 100-120 people across breakfast and lunch services, so we're looking for someone who is happy to get stuck in, work as part of a team and assist with all aspects of the daily catering operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with breakfast and lunch service, ensuring customers receive a friendly and efficient service.

  • Setting up and clearing down counters and service areas.

  • Operating the till and handling customer transactions.

  • Preparing basic food items, including sandwiches, salads and other light refreshments.

  • Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment (pot wash).

  • Clearing plates, emptying bins and maintaining clean dining areas.

  • Sweeping, mopping and wiping down surfaces to maintain excellent hygiene standards.

  • Restocking confectionery, refreshments and other catering supplies.

  • Assisting with deliveries and stock checks where required.

  • Supporting the wider catering team with general duties as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in catering, hospitality, food service or a similar environment is desirable.

  • A positive, hardworking attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.

  • Confident communicating with customers and working as part of a team.

  • Good understanding of food hygiene and cleanliness standards.

  • Reliable, punctual and comfortable with early morning starts.

  • Able to work efficiently during busy breakfast and lunch services.

What's on Offer?

  • £13.00 per hour.

  • Monday to Friday working - no weekends!

  • Consistent daytime hours, 07:00 - 15:00.

  • Weekly pay through Interaction Recruitment.
