The Role
Requirements
Sheffield | £35,000 - £45,000
A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to recruit an Engineering Geologist to join their growing ground engineering team in Sheffield, working on a range of renewable energy and infrastructure projects across the UK.
The role will involve a combination of site and office-based work, supporting projects across wind, solar, battery energy storage and associated infrastructure.
The Role
- Planning and supervising ground investigations
- Engineering geological and geotechnical logging
- Site supervision and contractor management
- Factual and interpretative reporting
- Ground model development and interpretation
- Geotechnical assessment of renewable energy developments
- Supporting foundation and earthworks assessments
- Reviewing ground investigation data and laboratory results
- Working closely with geotechnical, civil, environmental and energy specialists
- Liaising with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering Geology, Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or a related subject
- 2+ years' relevant experience within ground investigation, engineering geology or geotechnical consultancy
- Experience with site investigation and geological logging
- Good understanding of UK ground conditions
- Strong report writing and technical skills
- Full UK driving licence
