FLT Driver / General Operative

Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Rotating Days, Noons & Nights
Employment: Full-Time, Permanent

The Opportunity

Our client, a well-established business based in Stoke-on-Trent, is looking to recruit an experienced FLT Driver / General Operative to join their busy operation.

This is a varied, hands-on position combining FLT driving with general operative duties, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a role where no two shifts are quite the same.

The Role

Working as part of an established operational team, your duties will include:

• Operating a Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
• Loading, unloading and moving materials around the site
• Transporting stock and materials to designated areas
• Carrying out general operative and production duties
• Manual handling and movement of materials where required
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Completing basic checks and following site procedures
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure daily operational targets are achieved
• Adhering to all company Health & Safety procedures

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience operating a Forklift Truck
• Holds a valid FLT licence/certificate
• Is comfortable carrying out general operative duties alongside FLT work
• Is reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
• Has a good understanding of workplace Health & Safety
• Is physically comfortable with a hands-on role
• Is flexible and able to work a rotating days, noons and nights shift pattern
