As part of an evolving Group Finance function, the organisation is seeking a commercially focused Group FP&A Manager/Business Partner to play a pivotal role in supporting executive decision-making, improving financial insight and enhancing strategic planning across a diverse portfolio of businesses.

Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Group FP&A, you will take ownership of the Group's financial planning and analysis activities, delivering high-quality reporting, forecasting, modelling and performance insight to senior stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include leading the budget, forecast and long-range planning processes across multiple divisions, producing Board and lender reporting, analysing performance against key targets and identifying risks, opportunities and corrective actions.You will develop and maintain integrated financial models covering profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow forecasting, whilst providing robust scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to support strategic decision-making.
The role will also involve detailed commercial analysis of customers, products, channels and operational performance, helping drive profitability and business improvement initiatives.

In addition, you will provide analytical support for acquisition opportunities and strategic projects, including valuation analysis, business cases and post-acquisition performance monitoring.
A key aspect of the position will be acting as the finance lead for the organisation's planning and reporting systems, driving enhancements to reporting capabilities, automation, dashboard development and data quality. Working closely with finance, operations, IT and senior leadership teams, you will help shape the future direction of the FP&A function and establish best-in-class reporting processes across the Group.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will be a fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant with a proven track record within FP&A, commercial finance or strategic finance positions.
You will have experience of:

  • Leading budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting processes.
  • Working within a multi-entity, multi-site or complex group environment.
  • Delivering meaningful commercial analysis and business partnering with senior stakeholders.
  • Advanced financial modelling and scenario planning.
  • Developing BI reporting, dashboards and data visualisation tools.
  • Managing financial systems or reporting on improvement projects.
  • Analysing profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow and working capital performance.
  • Communicating financial information effectively to Board-level audiences.

Experience within construction, manufacturing, infrastructure, distribution, logistics or similarly operational businesses would be advantageous, although applications from broader sectors are also welcomed.
You will be a naturally curious and commercially minded individual who enjoys turning complex data into actionable business insight and influencing decision-making at a senior level.
