Duties
- Supervise daily warehouse activities including materials handling, shipping, receiving, and inventory control to maintain operational efficiency.
- Manage and coordinate a team of warehouse staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Oversee the use of forklifts and other mechanical equipment to facilitate heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
- Implement process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce errors, and enhance productivity.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Oversee shipping and receiving procedures, verifying accuracy of orders and documentation.
- Support logistics planning by analysing workflow data to optimize storage layouts and operational procedures.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse management with strong knowledge of materials handling techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Expertise in shipping & receiving processes, heavy lifting safety protocols, and inventory control.
- Ability to identify process inefficiencies and implement continuous improvement strategies.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
